Pupils at an Inverness primary school have shown off their artistic talents after turning their school hall into an art gallery.

P6/7 and P7 children at Holm Primary created a large collection of colourful artwork as part of a project and then invited visitors to view their masterpieces.

In feedback, comments ranged from “awesome to see so many different art styles” to “excellent artwork from talented children”.

It is now hoped the artwork will be displayed as a legacy of the outgoing P7s as the school begins its 50th anniversary celebrations from August.

The aim was to give pupils the opportunity to learn about artists through research and creating biographies and also to inspire them to be creative and experiment with different art styles no matter their artistic ability.
