If you don’t know the name Yayoi Kasuma, you sure have seen her incredible work on Instagram and at the Tate Modern last year with her exhibition ‘Infinity Mirror Room.’

If you did get to see it in person, then consider yourself blessed as the exhibition was sold out months in advance and was extended not once but multiple times due to staggering demand and popularity.

Starry infinity mirrors, polka dots, grand pumpkin sculptures – the 93-year-old Japanese artist has been an Internet sensation for years now. And now, the artist will premiere a new Infinity Mirror Room alongside a new series of paintings entitled ‘Every Day I Pray for Love’ in London.

So if you missed out that time, not to worry as you might get a chance to witness the whole thing at Kusuma’s newly announced exhibition. And not just an infinity room, it has also been announced that Kusama’s “tallest bronze pumpkin sculpture to date” (all six metres of it—in height) will be installed in Kensington Gardens in South Kensington this summer from July 9 to November 3.

Additionally, Kusuma’s first permanent public work in the UK ‘Infinite Accumulation’ is set to be unveiled at Liverpool Street Station this July. Expect to see her iconic polka dots all over the Lizzie line.

Finally, fans of the iconic Infinity Room series can visit the show at Victoria Miro gallery in Islington from the end of summer. The best part is: it is free. Running from September 25 to November 2 2024, it’ll be the artist’s fourteenth solo show at the London gallery.

While the tickets for Yayoi Kusama at Victoria Miro are free you still need a ticket. They will be released on Monday, September 2. So be sure to save the date as you know the drill, tickets tend to sell out quick!
