But what about local comic book heroes?
That’s where Rainbow Nation Comics duo: Phemelo Dibodu and Omphile Dibodu come in.
They’ve tasked themselves with great power and responsibility to Africanise superheroes and tell stories that include elements of Ubuntu.
They’re part of the UJ Art Gallery’s African Hero exhibition running until July.
