BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Downtown Art Gallery, located at 400 Orange Street in the heart of downtown Titusville, is thrilled to announce their July Spotlight Artist, Candi Hauck Church. A masterful potter, Candi brings a captivating variety of her works to the gallery.

Born in Germany and raised in Titusville, Candi’s passion for pottery ignited in high school and has flourished ever since. Her journey has seen her shine at art shows, collect numerous awards, and even organize several art competitions.

Since 1999, Candi has been the driving force behind the pottery studio at the North Brevard Art League. As the director, she not only teaches classes but also oversees the studio, nurturing the next generation of artists.

Remarkably self-taught, Candi’s dedication saw her devouring books and conducting research from the days of dial-up internet to now. While she has taken various workshops, she believes trial and error is the true path to mastering her craft.

Candi’s artistry is a dynamic blend of techniques.

“I sculpt, hand build, and throw on the wheel. My work is always evolving as I strive to work cleaner, merge methods, and explore new color palettes. The possibilities are endless, and teaching continuously inspires me to learn new things,” she said.

Experience Candi’s extraordinary work and more thru July, during summer hours of Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gallery is closed on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
