Nigerian man returns $14,000 mistakenly sent to his account

July 2, 20243 Mins Read

Nigerian man, Anjola Femi, and his act of honesty has gone viral and got him significant praise and reward from the internet.

Anjola, a chemical engineering graduate, returned a massive sum of $14,000. This money was mistakenly sent to his account by a foreign crypto trader.

Accidental riches

Femi had participated in a cryptocurrency giveaway hosted by @raffayalvi, a foreign trader, and won a modest prize of $100 worth of Solana (SOL). Solana is the native cryptocurrency of the Solana blockchain platform. It can be bought, sold, and traded on cryptocurrency exchanges like every other cryptocurrency. It’s used to pay for transaction fees on the Solana blockchain network.
However, during the transfer process, @raffayalvi accidentally sent Femi $14,000 instead of $100.

Honesty rewarded

Upon discovering the error, @raffayalvi contacted Femi, who, without hesitation, returned the entire $14,000. Femi’s act of honesty has been shared by @raffayalvi on social media, where it is now viral.
People on the internet, impressed by Femi’s integrity, began requesting his cryptocurrency wallet address to send him financial rewards in appreciation.

Crypto gifts

At the time of this report, Femi has reportedly received over N7.5 million (over $5,000) in various cryptocurrencies from the online community. Femi, in a recent video shared to the internet, said, “My name is Anjola Femi, the guy that is known as Lucky, that is the Twitter handle @muchino67.

“So I won this giveaway on Solana, $100 worth of Solana from Rafael Alvi this morning. He sent it to me, he now messaged me that he mistakenly sent 100 Solana which was $14k instead of $100. He requested me to hold 10 and send 90 to him, which I did.”

Femi went on to explain why he could not keep the money.

He said, “I cannot keep the money because it is not mine. I am a child of God and we all know that righteousness exalts a nation. Thank God for Apostle Chris Onofua, the Kingdom Spread World Ministry general overseer. He has taught us the way of righteousness, so I am very very happy about what I did.”

“He is happy, I am happy. I am just trying to show to the world that we Nigerians are still great and also have a lot of people with integrity. I am also a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, 2017 set, chemical engineering to be precise. Thank you and God bless you all.”
