BNY Investments has appointed Nick Shen as head of business development, Taiwan (offshore), according to a statement by the firm.
Based in Hong Kong, Shen will lead offshore sales strategy for BNY Investments’ Taiwan distribution business. He will further strengthen BNY Investments’ relationships with Taiwan clients and support the growth of the firm’s distribution business in this market.
He reports to Deborah Bannon, head of institutional distribution, Apac ex Japan, and consultant relations Apac of BNY Investments.
Shen joins BNY Investments from BlackRock, where he was Insurance lead of Taiwan institutional client Business. Before that, he was with Macquarie Asset Management, managing investor relations in traditional and alternative asset classes.
Bannan commented: “We are excited to welcome Nick, who brings valuable experience and a strong track record in Taiwan distribution.”
