Gatehouse Living Group appoints new Finance Director

Living sector investment specialist Gatehouse Living Group has appointed James Sarmecanic as its Group Finance Director.

In his new role, James will be overseeing the finances of Gatehouse Living Group, with his expertise supporting the group as it works to both grow its existing platforms and secure new mandates within the living sector.

Carrying over 25 years’ experience in corporate finance within the real estate sector, James was most recently the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of senior living developer RCVP Retirement Living, that was successfully sold in 2023.

Prior to this role, he set up a financial advisory business where he provided real estate financing consultancy services to corporate clients. James began his career at Operis, the financial advisory and training specialist, before running the Financial Planning & Analysis team at Mapeley, with his achievements in the role including the financial model underpinning the company’s IPO in 2005.
