16th Annual Native American Art Exhibition Opening Reception

The Leonor R. Fuller Gallery at South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) will host the 16th Annual Native American Art Exhibition from November 4 to December 13, 2024. 
An opening reception will be held on Friday, November 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition, titled “Honoring Ancestors and Embracing our Culture in the Modern World,” will feature works exploring the theme of honoring ancestors, healing generational trauma, and preserving culture in the modern world. 
Mikaela Shafer, an Indigenous mother, interdisciplinary artist, and writer based in Olympia, curates the exhibition. Shafer’s work spans costume design, sculpture, painting, and writing.
