Gallery Rallies for Two Oceans Aquarium’s Conservation Projects!

May 3, 20243 Mins Read

An upcoming art exhibition is turning the spotlight on marine life and their ecosystems, with hopes to raise funds for the Two Oceans Aquarium’s conservation projects, including the construction of the first Marine Wildlife Hospital!

Cape Town, South Africa (03 May 2024) — A powerful art exhibition uniting art, conservation efforts and our friends in and of the sea is getting ready to dock itself in Cape Town with hopes to raise awareness and funds for the Two Oceans Aquarium’s conservation projects, including the first-ever Marine Wildlife Hospital!

‘Nothing Comes Without Its World’ art exhibition will see the ocean’s beauty and struggles wash up on the walls and spaces of Cape Town’s De Waterkant thanks to the new gallery, Cloudigital Art.

The gallery’s debut exhibition, ‘Nothing Comes Without Its World’ is here to remind us of the collective awareness and care the Earth’s ‘galleries’ ( oceanic environments and natural treasures) require to maintain their life-force, beauty and essential role in the ecosystem of everything.

In a world where many marine species and their homes are fighting not to be lost in the sea of time, the more our efforts as communities who care, count!

“We are excited to announce our first exhibition, which showcases art that brings awareness to ocean conservation. this unique collection features pieces that not only captivate and inspire but also drive change by focusing on the beauty and vulnerability of our marine environments,” say the exhibition’s organisers.

The exhibition will showcase artivists who have created pieces that have great power to drive transformative change, while the entirety of the proceeds collected will take their course in making a direct difference for ocean conservation efforts, including the marine wildlife hospital’s construction and other initiatives the Two Ocean’s Aquarium is involved in.

You can catch the exhibition from 10 May to 31 July at The Foundry, 74 Cardiff Street in De Waterkant.

Meanwhile, in other news for the Two Oceans Aquarium, the Turtle Rescue Network has collected many turtle hatchlings, which means it’s all hands on deck to help get these little turtles back on track. If you would like to support their efforts, you can do so here.
