The Norval Studios and Gallery is inviting locals to its first anniversary celebration.
The event is set for May 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the studio, located at 16 Adamson St. S. Attendees can consume complimentary refreshments while they shop for gifts. They can also enter a free draw for a $100 gift card that can be spent at the gallery.
The studio at 16 Adamson St. S. opened its door in 2023 when St. Paul’s Anglican Church’s parish hall became available. A group of artists – many of whom belong to Credit Valley Artisans – snatched up the property and turned it into a space for creatives to hone their craft.
The building is perhaps most known for its famous former occupant, Lucy Maud Montgomery. The resident artists of the Norval Studios and Gallery walk in her footsteps daily as Maud often put on theatrical productions on the parish hall’s stage.
