Selected art by Sonoma State students will be featured in SSU’s 2024 Juried Student Exhibition on view at the University Art Gallery Nov. 7 to Dec. 14. The annual exhibition gives all currently enrolled SSU students a chance to showcase their painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and drawing skills and creativity.
Chris Grunder, Director of Bass & Reiner Gallery, and Jiovanny Soto, artist and lecturer in art at San Francisco State University, will be on campus Oct. 31 to jury the works and make selections. At noon they will hold a lecture for students interested in learning about the jurying process and their careers in the professional art world.
The exhibition opens Thursday, Nov. 7 with a public reception in the University Gallery from 4 to 6 p.m. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.
The University Art Gallery is on the SSU campus at 1801 East Cotati Avenue, Rohnert Park, and is open from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The gallery will be closed in observance of SSU’s Thanksgiving break, Nov. 26-30.
