SPECIAL TO THE AV NEWS

Join us at The Grove Art Gallery for two captivating exhibits by two local artists, Jim Sears and Sarah Williams.

Jim Sears’ exhibit titled, “Travelling Again: Reflections of our Travels” showcases a collection of works inspired by his global travels in Ireland, Hawaii and various European destinations. The exhibition features artwork that encapsulates the beauty and spirit of each location through a unique blend of mediums. Sears’ technique combines watercolour washes with detailed pen and ink and coloured pencil, offering a fresh perspective on familiar scenes. Through immersive walking tours, Sears captures not just landscapes but the essence of local cultures.

“Travelling Again: Reflections of our Travels” will run alongside Sarah Williams’ “Land of the Raven People” until June 2, promising an exciting variety of work for all who attend.

Meet the artists this Saturday, May 4 from 1-3 p.m. to learn more. The Grove Art Gallery is located at the Harbour Quay (Unit 7 – 5440 Argyle Street).

This Saturday and Sunday is your last chance to sign up for two of our bookbinding workshops, where you can learn how to create an artists’ book. To learn more, connect with the Grove Art Gallery at 250-724-3412.
