July 6, 20242 Mins Read

The Modern Contemporary (Moco) Museum will take over three floors overlooking Marble Arch from August 8.

The concept, with its unapologetically pink branding, has already proved a hit in Amsterdam and Barcelona, drawing more than five million visitors including Barack Obama, Steven Spielberg, Adele, Dua Lipa and Idris Elba.

Moco’s founders Lionel and Kim Logchies are committed to exhibiting work by both internationally renowned artists and rising stars, and have a mission to awaken the world to the inspirational power of contemporary art.

They said: “We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Moco Museum in the heart of London. As a beacon of modern and contemporary art, our mission is to inspire, provoke, and ignite imaginations.

“With this new chapter, we extend our invitation to all art enthusiasts to embark on a journey of discovery and creativity unlike any other.”

Visitors will first see the collection of ‘Moco Masters’ showcasing work by pop art icon Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst and Pablo Picasso.

On the first floor they will discover contemporary masters with works by Tracey Emin, street artist KAWS, Banksy, British photographer Chris Levine, and pop star Robbie Williams’ images from his collection Pride and Self-Prejudice, which addresses his personal journey with his mental health.

On the lower ground floor there’s a world of ‘MocoImmersive Digital Artworks by the likes of Pilar Zeta, Andrés Reisinger, British sculptor Anthony James, whose work featured in Glass Onion starring Daniel Craig, and American artist Daniel Arsham.

British artist Anthony James said: “It doesn’t matter what your education level is, what language you speak, what culture you are brought up in, or where you are from, my work deals with a universal language based in sacred geometry.

“It’s innate to everyone on the planet, so it’s an honour to have my work on view in Moco London, in possibly the most multicultural, art loving city in the world.”
