SUBMISSIONS are now being accepted for Open Art 24, the Tameside Council exhibition which gives the borough’s artists and creatives the chance to see their work displayed in the Astley Cheetham Gallery, Stalybridge.
This longstanding event embraces diverse forms of artistic expression, including but not limited to paintings, photography, collage, embroidery, ceramics, and woodwork.
Participants of all ages are welcome and costs just £1 to enter, allowing for the submission of up to two pieces per person.
Cllr Sangita Patel, Tameside Council’s assistant executive member for culture, heritage, participation, and sport, emphasises the inclusivity of Open Art, inviting all artists and creatives to share their vision in a professional gallery setting.
“The exhibition is also well worth a visit. We have a tremendous amount of talent in the borough and year after year Open Art features work that is inspirational, though-provoking, and of a very high standard.”
Entry forms, which carry full details of the event, are available from the Astley Cheetham Gallery, which is on Trinity Street, Stalybridge, above the library, or Portland Basin Museum, Ashton.
They can be downloaded at www.tameside.gov.uk/astleycheetham or if you prefer one to be sent by post or emailed contact portland.basin@tameside.co.uk
