Gallery which closed after thirty years to reopen in city

August 18, 20252 Mins Read

An established art gallery is returning to the city.

Enter Gallery is set to return to Brighton later this month, announcing that it will be opening a new art consultation and events space at Projects Brighton, on Ship Street.

The gallery was previously located on Bond Street, closing in January after thirty years of trade.

Bosses said the closure was amid “significant challenges” for independent galleries, including the decline of the high street and mass art production by larger companies.

The gallery has said that they hope the new space hopes to make buying art easy, enjoyable, and tailored to each individual collector.

The return is being led by art consultant, Madi McKenzie, who will also be offering face-to-face art consultations and viewings of limited edition prints and original works at the new space.

She shared her excitement for the new opening. Madi said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be back in Brighton – there’s nothing like connecting with art lovers face-to-face in this vibrant, creative city.

“Enter Gallery has always been about making art feel approachable and exciting, and now we can offer a truly personalised experience in our new consultation space.

“I can’t wait to welcome people back, to interact with and talk about the artworks we offer, and help them find pieces they’ll treasure forever.”

Gillian Duke, Director of CCA Galleries, added: “We’re excited to have Madi leading the new Enter Gallery space in Brighton.

“Having worked closely with her during the London Original Print Fair and at our gallery in Jersey, we’re always blown away by her warm, infectious personality and the genuine connections she builds with both customers and artists.

“At both Enter Gallery and CCA, we believe collecting art should be an enjoyable, tailored experience, and we’re so pleased to now offer that in Brighton.”

Following the launch event, the gallery will be hosting a programme of events including artist-led workshops, talks, and community events.
