Harbor Art Gallery to host reception for artist

April 12, 20242 Mins Read

PORT ANGELES — A reception for Carol Marshall will be conducted from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday during the Second Saturday Art Walk in Port Angeles.

Marshall’s nature photography is featured at the Harbor Art Gallery, 114 N. Laurel St., through the end of April.

Marshall’s work ranges from exotic birds to scenes from Montana.

Leaves and seaweed also feature prominently, as she explores the interplay between light, color, texture and pattern.

“I formed a passion for photography, when in 2006, I purchased a point-and-shoot camera and explored Yellowstone National Park,” Marshall said. “I tend to be a generalist, which allows me to view the most mundane subject and find that there is some detail(s) that can make the image — if not extraordinary — at least singular.”

Harbor Art Gallery showcases work by local artists Bob Stokes, Cindy Elstrom, Robert Amaral, Garret DeLaBarre, Terri Enck, Katie Graham, Carolyn Guske, Tammy Hall, Susan Kantowitz, Carol Marshall, Nancy McFaul, Gail McLain, Miranda Petruska, Steve Portner, Randy and Sallie Radock, Jodi Riverstone, Nathan Shields, Lance and Haley Snider, Becky Stinnett, Eileen Webb and Andrèa Woods.

The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
