The A140 Cromer Road near Norwich Airport is set to close for several days of roadworks, costing Norfolk County Council £83,234.

The closure on June 7, June 10, June 11 and June 12 between 9.30pm and 3.30pm will prevent people from parking on the Cromer Road and Mayfield Avenue junction to the northern Norwich Airport Park and Ride entrance.

A road rejuvenator will be sprayed on to the road surface to extend the life of the road and requires time to soak into the top layer.

A nine-mile northbound diversion route follows Mile Cross Lane, Chartwell Road, Wroxham Road, the NDR and on to Cromer Road.

Southbound traffic will be open for the duration of the works and vehicle and pedestrian access to properties will be maintained.

It will be closed between 9.30am and 3pm on June 6.

The Norfolk County Council work will see a road rejuvenator sprayed on the road which will need time to soak into the top layer of the road surface.
