Art Antwerp is returning for its fourth edition. From Thursday 12 December through Sunday December 15, 2024, this boutique art fair at Antwerp Expo offers a festive, intimate atmosphere that sets it apart from larger events. With 68 galleries selected by an Invitation Committee, Art Antwerp showcases a mix of established and emerging international artists from galleries representing eleven countries across Europe.

Since its debut in 2021, Art Antwerp has been known for its focus on special booth projects. With 30% of galleries opting for solo or duo presentations, visitors can explore in-depth artistic visions, such as the works of Ria Verhaeghe (Richard Saltoun, London/Rome), Lia D Castro (Martins&Montero, São Paulo/Brussels) and Bruno V. Roels (Gallery FIFTY ONE, Antwerp). To help deepen visitor engagement, Nina Hendrickx, former director of Zeno X, joins the fair as a curatorial copywriter, creating insightful narratives for each gallery project.

New this year is the Best Booth Prize, which recognises the gallery with the most cohesive and compelling artistic presentation. A jury of esteemed art professionals, including Elisa De Wyngaert (MoMu – Fashion Museum Antwerp), Maurice Funken (NAK – Neuer Aachener Kunstverein, Germany), Joseph Kouli (French collector) and Charlotte Martens (Senior Curator at Kunsthal Rotterdam) will award €2,500 to the winner on opening day.

Organised by Art Brussels and supported by partners Delen Private Bank and Bank Van Breda, Art Antwerp continues to thrive in a city celebrated for its rich artistic heritage and vibrant contemporary art scene.
