At long last, a permanent art gallery is coming to Maricopa.

The Maricopa Arts Council and Maricopa Agricultural Center announced today plans to open a gallery inside the center on May 25.

“We look forward to being identified as an arts and cultural center in our fair city, and increasing awareness of what the University of Arizona’s Maricopa Agricultural Center has to offer to our gorgeous community,” said Ken Johnson, director of the agricultural center.

Artists will have until May 11 to submit up to three visual art pieces for display between May 21 and Sep. 12.

Submissions are limited to Maricopa residents and the deadline first submission is May 11.

For more information or to submit artwork, visit the Maricopa Arts Council Facebook page or contact Kaui Wilson at [email protected].
