Pupils at an Inverness primary school have shown off their artistic talents after turning their school hall into an art gallery.
P6/7 and P7 children at Holm Primary created a large collection of colourful artwork as part of a project and then invited visitors to view their masterpieces.
In feedback, comments ranged from “awesome to see so many different art styles” to “excellent artwork from talented children”.
It is now hoped the artwork will be displayed as a legacy of the outgoing P7s as the school begins its 50th anniversary celebrations from August.

The project, whose theme was artwork inspired by world-class artists, was led by class teachers Rhona Nicholson and Sean Henstridge.
The aim was to give pupils the opportunity to learn about artists through research and creating biographies and also to inspire them to be creative and experiment with different art styles no matter their artistic ability.
Pupils learnt about the lives of the different artists and the history surrounding them such as different periods of art including impressionism, contemporary, modern and cubism.
The children also explored the style of the artist such as use of colour, lines, light and dark.
The families of the young artists were invited to view the work and encouraged to learn to draw from the children.
The gallery was also opened for a morning to the community with visitors invited to leave their comments.
“Brilliant idea and very impressive!” one visitor said. “High standard of art and learning and very professional.”
Another commented: “Amazing artwork, lots of creative children.”
