Trinity House, former Broadway art gallery, sold for nearly £1 million

April 25, 20242 Mins Read

Leading Worcestershire commercial property agents, John Truslove, secured the sale of Trinity House, 35 High Street, which was initially on the market for £1.25 million.

The company acted as joint agents with Lambert Smith Hampton, and were instructed by Philip Armstrong and Philip Watkins, the joint administrators of Trinity House Paintings Ltd since June 2023.

The property has been bought as an investment by Cheltenham-based Bo Pop FIC Ltd.

Ian Parker, joint managing director of John Truslove, said: “Understandably, there was a significant amount of interest in this property, standing as it does in the centre of the High Street in one of the Cotswolds’ most popular towns.

“Freehold properties in this location and of this quality do not come on to the market often and we are pleased to have secured a sale to a local investor.”

The mid-18th-century property has been a historical landmark in the town.

Originally dating from the early 1500s, it was believed to be a wheelwright’s premises for the 14th century Lygon Arms Hotel across the road.

The property is approximately 3,251 square feet across the three floors, and also has a single storey garage which can be accessed via a gated side driveway to the rear.

It boasts a stone-tiled pitched roof and single-glazed timber framed windows, with a stone-paved, terraced garden and an unused swimming pool at the back.

The buyers are yet to reveal their plans for the property.
