Taxes from cryptocurrency mining farms grow twice in January

AKIPRESS.COM – Cryptocurrency mining farms paid taxes twice more in January 2024 than in January 2023, according to the National Statistical Committee.

Taxes from cryptocurrency mining farms amounted to 6.92 million soms in January 2024. This is twice more than in the same period of the previous year. Taxes from cryptocurrency mining amounted to 3.269 million soms then.

Minister of Energy Talaibek Ibraev said at the plenary session of the Parliament on April 4 around 30 cryptocurrency mining farms were registered in Kyrgyzstan and 8 of them operate now.
