Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe TD travelled to Mayo on Friday to officially open the constituency office of new Fine Gael TD, Keira Keogh.
The Westport-based TD officially opened her new constituency office, located on Castlebar Street in Westport with Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe TD cutting the ribbon in a ceremony attended by local businesspeople and members of the community.
Speaking following the ribbon-cutting, Deputy Keogh said: “I’m thrilled to be able to open the doors of my new constituency office to the people of Mayo, and I’m hugely grateful to Minister Paschal Donohoe for coming to Westport for its official launch.
“During the General Election campaign, I promised to keep a Fine Gael office open in Westport, and I have kept that promise. I hope it will help me in continuing the standard of representation set by former TD, Michael Ring, before his retirement last year.

“Meeting people, one-to-one, and earning their trust as they share their stories, is central to my role as a TD. It’s a responsibility I take very seriously. Since being elected, I have held over 20 clinics in the Westport Plaza Hotel.
“From Monday, September 22, those clinics will move to the constituency office on Castlebar Street. My team and I will operate clinics using a queue system every Monday from 9.30am to 12.30pm, with no appointment necessary.
“As someone who is passionate about inclusion, I’m proud that my office is fully accessible to people of all abilities. I have also had a wheelchair-accessible bathroom, as well as a baby-changing table, installed to make sure that people’s needs are met.”
Minister Paschal Donohoe said: “I was honoured to officially open Keira’s constituency office. Keira is a tremendously hard worker, already so well established in Mayo and is committed to giving a voice, in the Dail, to those she represents.
“The reaction people have to her is testament to the work she is doing. She’s a real asset to Fine Gael and to the people of Westport and beyond.”
