Stars Shine at KMC Legal & Finance Charity Ball – over £13,000 raised for children’s charities

October 14, 20253 Mins Read

The event drew a star-studded guest list including Housewives of Cheshire star Lystra Adams, fitness icon Mr Motivator MBE, charity ambassador Claire Caldwell, celebrity couple Rosyton and Nick Blythe, and X Factor’s Chico. Headlining the evening was the incredible Olivier Award-winning, multi-platinum artist Beverley Knight MBE, who gave up her evening to perform exclusively for guests, delivering a powerhouse live set that brought the crowd to their feet.

The black-tie event, hosted by the all-female team at KMC Legal & Finance, featured a champagne reception, luxury dinner and live charity auction. Prizes included private equestrian coaching with showjumping legend Geoff Billington, VIP hospitality experiences, and exclusive signed memorabilia.

Funds raised on the night will support children undergoing treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and help provide respite breaks and family support through The James Bulger Memorial Trust’s “James’ Legacy Line” and holiday lodge programme.

Denise Fergus, mother of James Bulger, attended the event and spoke movingly about the vital work of the Trust – a charity set up in her son’s memory to support families in need.

KMC Legal & Finance founder Katie McCreath said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who attended and supported the event. To raise over £13,000 in one evening is just incredible, and we’re so proud that this will go directly towards helping children and families who need it most.”

Kym Morris BCA, Chairwoman of The James Bulger Memorial Trust, added: “It was a truly special evening filled with compassion and kindness. To see so many people come together in support of both charities was heartwarming. Every single donation will make a difference.”

The event was proudly sponsored by Techcare and Quantum Comms Group, whose support helped make the evening possible.

Due to the overwhelming response to this year’s event – which sold out in advance – KMC Legal & Finance has already secured the date for next year’s ball. The 2026 Black Tie & Tiara Charity Ball will take place on Friday 25th September 2026, at a brand-new, larger venue to accommodate even more guests and raise even greater support for both charities. Pre-sale tickets will be released very soon.

With its red-carpet glamour, star guests and powerful sense of community, the KMC Legal & Finance Black Tie & Tiara Charity Ball has firmly established itself as one of Staffordshire’s most inspiring and sought-after fundraising events of the year.
