£19 million invested in SEIS-eligible entrepreneurial businesses – find out more about Jenson Funding Partners

April 30, 20242 Mins Read

Jenson Funding Partners is a start-up investment firm, founded in 2012, which specialises in working with founders throughout their early-stage growth – from pre-seed to Series A.

Jenson is an established player in the early-stage VC market, investing over £24 million in 140 entrepreneurial businesses. They have launched five SEIS and four EIS Funds, investing £19 million in SEIS-eligible entrepreneurial UK businesses. These tend to be close to post revenue. In addition, Jenson has invested £5.6 million to support 32 companies in follow-on funding via the EIS Fund.

The Jenson EIS Fund focuses on long-term capital growth and enables private investors to invest in a range of entrepreneurs and early-stage companies.

The team combines quickly deployed capital with hands-on support to successfully scale the companies in their portfolio, delivering returns for investors.

In an interview with GBI Magazine back in February 2024, Jenson’s Sarah Barber provided us with more information on the core values of the company, saying:

“In September 2023, Jenson Funding Partners released their first Impact Report. As a Certified B Corp, we are very much driven by underpinning our core values and ethics as a Fund Manager and embedding them within our portfolio of investment opportunities offered to investors.

“Jenson partners profit with purpose as part of our ethos and their commitment to B Corp only enhances this. The theory is that good ESG practices create better returns. Jenson believes that VCs can be a force for good with opportunity and change.

“As a venture capital firm investing at a very early stage, we have always believed that we can make a difference. Our fund has always invested at an early stage with the belief that. If we are committed to investing in the best solutions and the best ideas, then we need to be attracting them from the entire market – not the same homogenous group.”
