GAM has become the latest traditional asset manager to test its strength in the world of sports investing byย striking a partnership with US-based alts shop Avenue Capital.
The Swiss asset manager signed an agreement with the New York-based group in March this year to act as a partner on Avenue Capitalโs Sports Opportunities Investment fund.
This will entail GAM working closely with the Avenue Capital team to expand the reach of the fund, raise assets and attract global investors through its distribution network. This is likely to take the shape of a feeder fund.
