Launched by Gilles Dyan in Paris in 1994, Opera Gallery has become a prominent dealer in modern and contemporary American, European, and Asian art. With branches worldwide, including one in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the Opera Gallery showcases artworks by renowned artists like Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol. The gallery hosts exhibitions and participates in art fairs to make modern art accessible. Originally an expatriate’s home (interior designer Allison Collins), it has evolved into a vibrant art hub, showcasing diverse works ranging from paintings to sculptures. The gallery’s unique setting, with its traditional barista-style ceilings and teak doors, gives visitors a glimpse into Dubai’s heritage and culture.

4. Green Art Gallery

Green Art Gallery features a diverse collection of contemporary artworks, from traditional paintings to modern installations. The gallery initially started as a “salon d’art” but has since expanded its reach to include artists from different regions and generations. In Dubai’s Al Fahidi district, the XVA Gallery at XVA Hotel & Cafe showcases modern Middle Eastern art. With a focus on primary and secondary market sales, Meem Gallery’s artists are showcased in esteemed institutions worldwide. The gallery also manages Meem Editions, a publishing program, and the Al Noor Library for Middle Eastern Art, boasting over 20,000 resources on the region’s art.
