Art Media Agency — Mitchell-Innes & Nash pivots

June 25, 20242 Mins Read

New York art gallery Mitchell-Innes & Nash has introduced a change to its business model. The change was announced by gallery founders Lucy Mitchell-Innes and David Nash in a social media post addressed to “friends and colleagues”. The post began, “We write today to announce that after nearly 30 years of supporting and working with our artists from our Chelsea gallery, Mitchell-Innes & Nash will transition… to a project-based advisory space.”

The gallery currently represents more than 30 contemporary artists and estates, including Jessica Stockholder, Sir Anthony Caro, the recently deceased Pope.L and the estates of Jean Arp and Alburto Burri.

The letter did not explicitly define the nature of a “project-based advisory space”. In the closing paragraph, however, it suggested that whatever it is, it will exist as a brick and mortar entity at a “new location in Manhattan in the coming months.”
”,”html_fr”:”

La lettre n’explicite pas la nature de cette « société de conseil basé sur des projets ».
