Developer, Cityheart, which is leading on the Royal George Village regeneration of former parts of Stockport College’s campus, is sponsoring an exclusive preview exhibition at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery.

Cityheart will sponsor the exclusive preview of ‘Connections’ an exhibition showcasing the work of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts members together with selected graduates from Manchester School of Art.

The event is being held at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery on Wellington Road on Tuesday 16th July from 5pm – 7.30pm and will celebrate 200 years of Manchester University.

The evening will also be an opportunity to meet the Cityheart team and will provide the first look at the exciting plans for its development of 442 new homes on Greek Street and Wellington Road South, which is located directly behind the historic art gallery.

Commenting on sponsoring the event Jonny Wrigley, Group Chief Executive for Cityheart said:

‘We are proud to be supporting this incredible event and further strengthening Cityheart’s commitment to Stockport. The evening will showcase the exceptional talent within the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and Manchester Art School. Not only will it be a great opportunity to enjoy their work but we are looking forward to introducing guests to our vision for the former Royal George Village scheme, including a first look at the new branding and showing our plans for the next stage of this exciting regeneration programme.”

Cityheart is among the partners behind the Stockport’s new bus interchange scheme, as well as  bringing forward the Royal George Village scheme on Wellington Road and Greek Street.

Places at the Connections event are limited but are open to local businesses and community groups on a first come first served basis. For more information and to book a place please, contact eleanor@cityheart.co.uk.
