Dorset Museum & Art Gallery hosts festive fun this Christmas

From Saturday, November 15 to Wednesday, December 31, the museum encourages people of all ages to join in on a range of seasonal activities, including The Great Christmas Pudding Hunt and various arts and crafts events.

Families are invited to embark on a merry adventure through the museum’s galleries in The Great Christmas Pudding Hunt.

Christmas puddings will be hidden throughout the museum, with the elusive Golden Pudding offering a special prize for the lucky finder.

The Pudding Hunt Trail Sheet can be collected at the entrance.

Craft enthusiasts can celebrate creativity at the Winter Wonders: Festive Arts & Crafts event.

These relaxed, drop-in sessions will run on Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30, Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7 and Saturday, December 20 and Sunday, December 21, from 10am to 4pm.

Visitors can design and make their own festive decorations and gifts with the provided materials.

No booking is required and the activity is included with admission.

Dorset Museum & Art Gallery will also host the Seasonal Sparkle: Festive Arts & Crafts Weekend on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14.

The family-friendly workshops will run from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm, providing an opportunity for all ages to create seasonal-themed crafts.

On Sunday, December 14, the workshops will run alongside the Dorchester Christmas Cracker, adding to the festive atmosphere and no booking is required.

The museum assures a warm welcome for every visitor this Christmas season.

It promises a season filled with joy, laughter and creativity, offering a wonderful way to celebrate together.

All activities are free with museum admission.
