Before moving to Adelaide as a kid, Wanganeen said he had the privilege of spending part of his childhood on the far west coast of South Australia, where he learned traditional language and to hunt kangaroo on country with his grandfather and great-grandfather, well-respected traditional men who had grown up on the mission.
