The Lumini, an installation by the Architects of Air, which has toured five continents, is in East Lancashire this Sunday for the Connecting Cultures gathering.
Inspired by natural forms, geometric shapes, Islamic and gothic architecture, it will host sold-out workshops on everything from Tai-Chi and yoga to playing the viola and ukulele,
Promoters say ‘walk-in’ slots have been created to allow visitors to have a five minute walkaround inside the creation today, tomorrow and Sunday.
The event will also feature a Bollywood show and workshop, to mark the start of Eid, with three henna artists in place.
And for Father’s Day on Sunday there will be crafts, a penalty shoot-out with Accrington Stanley Community Trust and last minute gift opportunities.
Connecting Cultures will also feature activities to mark National Refugee Week and National Carers Week, including a refugee art display, photo opportunities with an Indian Rickshaw, exhibitions and community stalls.
The indoor main stage will have a Tai Chi class at 10am, before musical theatre from Just Imagine UK, DanceSyndrome at noon before the Bollywood show at 1pm and a Chinese lion performance at 2pm, before a community poem at 3pm.
Free shuttle buses will run to the gallery from Accrington town centre and there will also be food and drink stalls.

“There is so much going on throughout the full day for all the family and we would like to invite everyone in Hyndburn and beyond to attend and enjoy a day packed full of activities, crafts, live performances and much more.”
