Cllr Howard shared her experience on social media, stating it was wonderful to see the result of such a successful partnership after Nexus businesses selected Ipsum as their charity of the year.
She said: “The art was as varied as the individuals who created it, with each piece being beautiful, unique, and clearly very well thought out.
“Attending the opening event gave me a lovely opportunity to speak with the artists themselves.
“We discussed the styles of art they enjoy most, what sparks their inspiration, and how Ipsum has supported them on their own individual journeys.
“It was truly inspiring to see their creativity celebrated in such a professional setting and to hear how much the project meant to everyone involved.”
As the Mayor publicly praised Ipsum members’ work, she enjoyed a delicious tea at the Nexus café, which has a terrace overlooking a hidden lake.
Open to the public, the Nexus café was highly recommended by Cllr Howard, as was the art gallery on the first floor.
“I encourage you to pay them a visit, enjoy the view, and head up to the first floor to see the Ipsum members’ art gallery for yourself.”
