Artisan Art Gallery, located at No 1 Chapel Hill, will officially open on Saturday, October 25, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by world-renowned artist Mackenzie Thorpe.
The Mayor of Exmouth and other distinguished guests will also be in attendance.
Jon Ripley, founder of the gallery, said: “Art belongs to all of us.
“This gallery is about breaking down barriers and creating a space where artists and the public can come together to share, reflect, and inspire.”
Designed with accessibility in mind, the gallery features step-free entry, wide corridors, and a calming environment to ensure all visitors can engage with art comfortably.
The opening event will include a debut exhibition titled Origins, featuring work by 20 artists.
The event will begin at 12pm and continue into the evening, with opportunities to meet artists, curators, and other members of the community.
Locally brewed coffee and canapés will be served throughout the day, and guests will be encouraged to share their ideas and feedback with the gallery’s team.
As night falls, the gallery will be transformed into a performance space with live music from a local musician.
Mr Ripley said: “Our goal is to make art an everyday experience.
“From children discovering colour for the first time, to adults finding new perspectives, this gallery is for everyone.”
The gallery aims to become a cultural hub for the town, hosting regular exhibitions, artist talks, and workshops.
It also plans to collaborate with schools, nonprofits, and local businesses on public art and educational projects.
He said: “This gallery is about breaking down barriers and creating a space where artists and the public can come together to share, reflect, and inspire.”
