Ayrshire Atelier of Fine Art is based within the former Gallery Eight framing shop owned by Peter Valerio in Stanlane Place.
Peter has moved his framing business into the former DIY side of the shop, while the new art school premises provides a space where students will get the opportunity to step into the world of two contemporary masters of their craft.
An art school spokesperson said: “We are so excited to announce that we are launching our new location: Ayrshire Atelier of Fine Art.

“After five wonderful years in Glasgow, we are moving to the beautiful seaside town of Largs on the west coast of Scotland.
“We are combining with the personal painting studio of our co-founders/directors Sarah-Margaret Gibson and Lee Craigmile to create a new Atelier – in the true, historic sense of the word.
“Ayrshire Atelier will follow the blueprint set by the Old Masters, such as Titian, Rembrandt and Caravaggio, in that it is both a school and a professional painter’s studio.
“At our new space students will get the rare opportunity to step into the world of two contemporary masters of their craft and study alongside them.
