Gallery One is sponsoring a bus trip set for Wednesday, May 8, when participants can visit the Phillips Collection, a private gallery of extraordinary art in Washington, D.C.
The Bonnard’s Worlds exhibit features pieces by Pierre Bonnard, a French painter, illustrator and printmaker known especially for the stylized, decorative qualities of his paintings and his bold use of color. The retrospective show brings together some of Bonnard’s most celebrated works from museums across Europe and the United States, as well as from private collections.
The trip includes the price of admission and a private guided tour of the exhibit. Following the tour, participants will have ample opportunity to view the full collection of the gallery and/or explore the shops, galleries and restaurants located within easy walking distance.
With two pickup and drop-off sites set in the Bethany Beach and Rehoboth Beach areas, approximate time of departure will be 7 a.m., returning about 5:30 p.m.
