Solas Art Gallery’s next exhibition opens two solo shows this Friday

April 27, 20242 Mins Read

The Solas Art Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of two solo shows on April 26, which will run until June 1.

The “I Thought the Land Remembered Me” exhibition by Paula Richards Hynes celebrates life and spirit. She translates her father’s stories into a colourful visual language that builds connections through the Carrigallen landscape and personal history.

Paula generously opens her heart and communicates her journey through grief and loss to offer us all hope and healing. Through her vibrant use of colour, she forges a deep connection between the landscape and memory.

Paula Richards Hynes – More Than Shadows Remain

The exhibition “The Poets Way” by Peter McSweeney is rendered hyper-realistically, with thick impasto marks that will make you imagine that you can feel the sea breeze.

Peter’s adoration of the Irish natural landscape and his sense of wonder at being oceanside are sublimely captured in these large-scale paintings of the southwest of Ireland.

Stand close to his paintings, and his mark-making will make you believe you could reach out and touch the rocks.
