GENESEO, Ill. (KWQC) -A traveling exhibit of K-12 student artwork curated by the Illinois Art Education Association (IAEA) is has made its last stop in Geneseo.
The Smith Studio and Gallery, 124 South State Street, is hosting the free exhibition during August. The statewide art project is recreated annually to highlight artwork by talented Illinois students. The current exhibit contains 45 works chosen from 630 entries. The exhibition has been traveling Illinois for the past year.
The display embodies how visual art goals and educational objectives are being fulfilled in Illinois schools while showing off the creativity of children at different age levels.
The exhibit is free and open to the public during August.
The Smith Studio and Gallery’s hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
