Doris May Berry, founding member of Mayberry Investments, passes

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Doris May Berry, one of the founding members of Mayberry Investments Limited, has died.

The company shared the news in a statement on Monday.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Doris May Berry, a cherished founding member of Mayberry Investments Ltd. Doris’s vision, dedication and leadership were instrumental in shaping the foundation and growth of our company,” it said.

“Her contributions to the financial industry and her unwavering commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working with her. Her legacy of integrity, innovation and compassion will continue to inspire us as we move forward,” it added.

Doris is the mother of Christopher Berry, the current chairman of Mayberry Group Limited; Vice Chairman Mark Berry; Kayree Berry-Teape, the chief executive officer of Mayberry Foundation; and Dr Frances Berry.

The company extended its deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues. It said it will continue to uphold the values and principles she championed throughout her illustrious career.
