Lowes Court Art Gallery hosts postcard competition

May 9, 20241 Min Read

Participants are asked to design a postcard using their artistic ability.

A spokesperson said: “It’s that time again to announce this year’s open competition at Lowes Court Gallery.

“The theme this year is West Cumbria and we are inviting participants to create a design for a postcard. They can be picturesque featuring the landscape or tourist attractions or humorous.

“The size is 5″x7” and can be landscape or portrait orientation. Each participant may enter up to three postcards. Originals can be in any medium, oil, watercolour, acrylic, pen, and textiles.

“There will be prizes for winning entries selected by a panel of local judges and we always include a junior category.

“There will be the opportunity for winning postcards to be reproduced as prints and sold in the gallery.

“Please complete your postcards and deliver them to the gallery in an envelope with your name and details written on the envelope, before the end of July 2024. The entries will be displayed during August 2024 on our feature wall.”
